Beautiful Not Broken: Birthmother’s Day 2024

For the fourth year, On Your Feet invites birth moms from near and far to gather on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM CST, Birthmother’s Day, to honor birthmothers while providing a safe and supportive space to process the complicated emotions of Birthmother’s Day and Mother’s Day can bring. This year, we are incorporating our retreat theme—Beautiful, Not Broken—into our event. And just like our retreats, our event is hosted by birthmothers, for birthmothers.
Beautiful, not Broken, refers to the Japanese art of Kintsugi, a porcelain repair technique in which broken ceramics are put back together by sealing the broken edges together with real gold. Kintsugi recognizes that the value of an object is not rooted in perfection but rather in its imperfections and that these repairs are what make things beautiful.
What to Expect During Our Gathering:
Sharing stories, discussing the philosophy of Kintsugi and how that may relate to being a birthmother, a safe and supportive space for all

The gathering takes place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 02:00 PM CST (3 PM EST, 1 PM MST, 12 PM PST). Registration is required. All Birthmoms who attend the Zoom gathering will receive a gift.
