Black Adoptees and the Complexities of Same Race Adoption

February 14 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
$10 – $15

This conversation centers Black adoptees who were raised in same race families and explores the complexities of that experience. Panelists will discuss how adoption shaped their racial and ethnic identity, sense of belonging, and connection to Black culture. They will also share the ways they navigated assumptions, expectations, and realities of being both Black and adopted.

At Adoption Mosaic, we believe learning happens best in community with others. That’s why we host We the Experts, a monthly online speaker series featuring adoptee-centered conversations on topics that matter.

February’s panel will feature panelists that are Black Adoptees discussing the Complexities of Same Race Adoption. We invite adoptees to come and connect, and non-adoptees to join as listeners and learners; this is what we call an “adoptee-centered space.”

We hope to see you there!
