Emergency Behavior Intervention: What to do When a Child is in Crisis
When a child experiences a behavioral crisis, such as physical aggression, self-harm, property destruction, or running away, immediate intervention is crucial for their safety and the safety of others. This webinar will provide participants with a deep understanding of key crisis management strategies for foster and adopted children, including de-escalation techniques, risk assessment, and the safe management of aggressive or self-harming behaviors. The speaker will emphasize the significance of a child’s trauma history, guiding professionals and families in responding with compassion while ensuring immediate safety.
