Introduction to Services and Resources for Children with Disabilities – A Family Voices “Did You Know” Learning Session

Join this webinar to learn about important Wisconsin resources and programs for children with disabilities and special health care needs. The presenters from Family Voices of Wisconsin will discuss topics including Medicaid, children’s long-term support (CLTS) programs, and the role of parents in advocating for the services their children need to be part of their community. Participants will also hear more about the new Wisconsin Wayfinder and Children’s Resource Centers.
Presented by:
Danielle Tolzmann joined the Family Voices of Wisconsin team in the Spring of 2022 and serves as the Co-Director. She is the parent of a young adult with special health care needs, including intellectual disability (ID), developmental disability (DD), seizure disorder, and chromosome deletion. Danielle is also a grandmother to a teen and toddlers with special health care needs. Having served as past president of the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin, she continues to serve the community as a member of the steering team for the state Community of Practice on Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities (CoP – ASD / DD), and as the children’s issue team co-lead for the Survival Coalition of Wisconsin Disability Organizations. Danielle’s Family Voices focus is on the areas of public policy, systems change, and family leadership.
Lynn Renner has worked at Family Voices of Wisconsin since 2009 and is the Information and Outreach Coordinator as well as the lead manager for the Circles of Life Conference. Her work includes writing the Family Voices fact sheets and quarterly newsletter. She is the parent of two children, including a 22-year-old with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and an adopted daughter. Prior to working at Family Voices, she was a policy analyst at the Wisconsin Medical Society focusing on public health and injury prevention activities. She lives in the Madison area.
