Lunchtime Transition Learning – Health Insurance Literacy for Young Adults
We will focus on the basics of insurance literacy and how parents and educators can help youth understand key insurance terms and ideas like premiums, deductibles, provider networks, and co-pays, as well as what to do if you cannot pay a medical bill. The session also covers resources for finding affordable health coverage and how to connect with an insurance navigator. Our guest speaker will be from Covering Wisconsin. This is presented in partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools and Children’s Resource Center-Southeast.
