Conference Description

When Difficult Behaviors Arise
Children enter foster/adoptive families with many needs. Some are evident early; others surface in the course of later development. A trauma-responsive perspective will be presented to understand emotional/behavioral concerns that commonly arise across development within adoptive/foster families. Content will explore the impact of early adversity on brain/behavior, expressions of grief/loss, common relational worries, questions about identity, and their impact at various ages. Families will consider ways to promote relational health and build stronger connections with their children.
