Who Am I: Differently Abled / Identity Development (LGBTQIA2s+, Language Barrier, Immigration)
February 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join our Zoom panel, “Who Am I: Differently Abled / Identity Development (LGBTQIA2s+, Language Barrier, Immigration),” where individuals with lived child welfare experiences share their insights. This diverse group discusses the intersectionality of identities, offering firsthand perspectives to increase accessibility, destigmatize various markers, and guide practitioners in enhancing their approaches. Scheduled for Thursday, February 29th, 2023, this event transcends borders, fostering a global conversation on identity development within the child welfare system. Our speakers aim to inspire positive change by dismantling stereotypes, challenging biases, and empowering both practitioners and those with lived experiences. Through personal narratives and open dialogue, we create a safe space for all participants, promoting inclusivity and understanding. Whether you’re a practitioner, educator, policymaker, or simply interested in contributing to a more inclusive child welfare system, this panel invites you to join the discussion and celebrate diverse voices.
