SUMMARY:Love Through Hair Care: Texture Haircare Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Registration for this event is required on Eventbrite. (on sale April 3\, 2026) \n\n\n\n\nAdoptive\, foster\, guardianship\, relative caregiver\, and reunified families — join us for a special class focusing on learning more about your child’s textured hair. This class is meant to show caregivers how to work with textured hair\, specifically those with 3C to 4B texture. \nThis in-person instruction at Devine Beauty Salon in Sun Prairie will be hosted by Olena\, owner of Devine Beauty\, who is passionate about blending artistry and education into creating beautiful\, elevated looks while celebrating individuality\, culture\, and confidence. This workshop will take place on Sunday\, May 31st from 10am-12pm. It is a family hair affair (combo course) which will cover textured hair types\, general textured hair care knowledge\, use of products\, as well as hands-on instruction for simple hairstyles. There will also be time for a Q&A! \nA hair care grab bag will be included with your registration. \nEach ticket is good for 1 adult and 1 child. This event is restricted to one child per family. \nYour child must be able to sit for 2 hours consecutively. SUMMARY:Kickoff Summer - Afternoon at the Ball Park: Green Bay
DESCRIPTION:Registration for this event is required on Eventbrite. (on sale March 16\, 2026 @6pm) \n\n\n\n\nKickoff summer with the Wisconsin Family Connections Center and Jockey Being Family with an afternoon of baseball! We will be watching the Green Bay Rockers take on the Wausau Woodchucks on Sunday\, May 31st. This game starts at 1:05pm. Adoptive\, foster\, guardianship\, kinship\, birth\, and reunified families are welcome! \nEach person in your family must be registered for an individual ticket. Each attendee will receive a seat ticket along with a voucher for a hot dog and soda/water along with a Rockers hat. All children 12 years and under will receive a wristband for the Kid Zone. Our group will all be seated together\, which will allow families to connect and talk with others who have been impacted by adoption or out-of-home care. \nThis event would be a great opportunity to invite your child’s birth/first family or previous foster family. We understand this may not work for all family dynamics but encourage you to consider it. We hope to create an opportunity for children to have all their loved ones in one location whenever possible and create positive memories together. Please have each household register separately. \n*You will pick-up tickets at Rockers Stadium Will Call day of event. \nSpots are limited for this event.
