(on sale September 8 @6pm) \n\n\n\n\nThe Wisconsin Family Connections Center invites your family to attend an arcade and pizza night at Wausau on Water! Our group will have a private room that includes pizza\, soft drinks\, a pre-loaded arcade card for each attendee\, and the option to do laser tag. Children must be 42 inches tall to play laser tag! \nYou can start arriving at 5:15 pm. Pizzas will be out shortly after\, with a laser tag session available. We will plan to wrap up the event around 7:30 pm. \nThis event would be a great opportunity to invite your child’s birth/first family or previous foster family. We understand this may not work for all families\, but we encourage you to consider it. We hope to create an opportunity for children to have all their loved ones in one location whenever possible and create positive memories together. Please have each household register separately. DESCRIPTION:For WI caregivers who are parenting youth with a high level of need due to complex trauma histories related to adoption or out-of-home care. \n\n\n\n\nAdoptive\, Kinship\, Reunified\, Foster\, & Guardianship parents and caregivers: Please join us for a connected parenting virtual support group just for you! This group is especially for parents/caregivers who are looking for: \n–A place to be seen\, heard\, and supported from other attendees who understand similar parenting challenges; \n–More brain based\, connection-focused parenting support; and \n-Helpful ideas and resources from the group’s facilitators. \nThe group meets on the 3rd Monday of each month from noon (12:00 pm) – 1:00 pm. There will be monthly focus areas for discussion and/or guest speakers to support ongoing learning\, but always with plenty of time for connection and support. Please register early as group size is limited. \nThis group is facilitated by WIFCC Case Manager Allison Kunkel MS\, APSW and Support Specialist Val Zegers. WiFCC hopes this event is the first step in identifying others who have a similar journey and understand that parenting children with trauma\, grief\, and/or loss can be incredibly difficult\, particularly while feeling little to no support. \nThe event will include dinner\, facilitated and unstructured socialization\, games\, and a dedicated tool to help connect those who attend. We will be spending our time together making Christmas stained glass ornaments. \nThis is such a fun family class and Angie the instructor describes it as decorating a sugar cookie\, but you can’t eat it. This class is great for all ages. Anyone under the age of 12 should have an adult assist with their project. \nThere are a lot of different base ideas\, such as a Christmas tree\, mitten\, or snowflake. You will be able to use scrap glass pieces\, frit\, stringers\, and dots to decorate your Christmas ornament. Once you are finished with your beautiful creation\, Suamico Stained Glass will fuse it in their kiln\, and it will be available for pick-up in 10 to 12 business days.
