DESCRIPTION:Registration for this event is required on Eventbrite. \n\n\n\n\nAdoptive\, foster\, guardianship\, relative/kinship\, and reunified families\, please join us for an afternoon of family fun at Little Amerricka Amusement Park! Little Amerricka is an old-fashioned amusement park featuring 26 rides and attractions\, including a roller coaster\, Ferris wheel\, tilt-a-whirl\, bumper boats\, bumper cars\, go karts\, 18-hole mini-golf\, the Whiskey River Railway\, and much more! Carry-in food and drink are allowed in the park and food is available for purchase as well. \nEach ticket holder will receive a wristband which allows unlimited riding on all the rides and includes miniature golf and the Whiskey River Railway as well. Some of the rides do have height requirements. See https://www.littleamerricka.com/faq for more information. \nAdvance registration is required. On the day of the event\, registered families can meet us at the picnic shelter anytime between 12:00pm and 1:00pm to check in and pick up wristbands. Each family will also be required to sign Little Amerricka’s liability waiver at that time. Families are welcome to stay at the park all afternoon. SUMMARY:Nature's Navigators STEM Camp
DESCRIPTION:Nature’s Navigators STEM Camp aims to broaden science opportunities for autistic youth by providing a summer camp that supports inquisitiveness in a non-threatening\, nontraditional\, and inclusive learning environment. We provide nature-based\, hands-on learning opportunities and encourage pursuing STEM (science\, technology\, engineering\, and mathematics) degrees and careers. \nThe camp is open to all autistic youth within grades 5-12. That includes youth with a medical diagnosis\, self-diagnosis\, or suspected diagnosis.  Nature’s Navigators embraces neurodivergence and the associated unique thinking and learning of autistic youth through flexible teaching strategies. \nAttendees will participate in hands-on outdoor and indoor activities\, such as barging to and exploring Blackhawk Island\, geocaching for treasure\, Lego robotics\, and hiking through beautiful landscapes. The camp will be held at Upham Woods\, along the famous Dells (Dalles) of the Wisconsin River\, two miles northwest of Wisconsin Dells. Upham Woods consists of 320 acres of land on the banks of the Wisconsin River\, including a 210-acre island called Blackhawk Island\, which offers an excellent “river classroom” to study Wisconsin’s natural and cultural history. \nNature’s Navigators is funded by the USDA-backed Wisconsin Rural Partnerships Institute\, a gift from the Read Coakley Family Foundation\, and gifts from other generous donors. The camp is free to all attendees. All youth campers must be accompanied by an adult during the duration of the camp sessions. \nRegistration is required and space is limited.

This class is meant to show caregivers how to work with textured hair\, specifically those with 3C to 4B texture. \nThis in-person instruction at Devine Beauty Salon in Sun Prairie will be hosted by Olena\, owner of Devine Beauty\, who is passionate about blending artistry and education into creating beautiful\, elevated looks while celebrating individuality\, culture\, and confidence. It is a family hair affair (combo course) which will cover textured hair types\, general textured hair care knowledge\, use of products\, as well as hands-on instruction for simple hairstyles. SUMMARY:Future Ready  - A Workshop for Teens & Their Families
DESCRIPTION:Future Ready is an engaging and structured program to equip teens and young adults with disabilities\, ages 14 to 21\, and their families with the tools and a plan for the transition to adult life. \nTeens will build confidence\, self-advocacy skills\, and create a clear vision for their future. As parents\, you will gain practical guidance on adult systems\, decision-making options\, and learn how you can support their increasing independence. Through expert-led sessions\, peer learning\, and planning activities\, participants explore healthcare\, education\, employment\, adult long-term care\, community life\, financial tools and skills needed for the real world. \nThis program is best suited for teens\, between the ages of 14 and 19\, who have a disability or special health care need\, and are at a level of need to qualify for long-term support services. We encourage teens to attend with one or more parents and/or primary caregivers. \nYou will leave with a shared understanding of what transition means\, concrete next steps\, and tools to move forward with your teen in greater confidence based on teamwork. \nTo ensure a quality experience this group will be held to a limited number of families. Early registration is recommended. \nREGISTER

The Foundation’s bold and ambitious strategy is to ensure that all 15 crane species are stable or increasing across their ranges. Drawing from five decades of science-based conservation success\, they are scaling up their long-term programs for highly threatened crane species in Africa\, Asia\, and North America\, while continuing to monitor and support species that are less at-risk. \nWhat does the tour include? SUMMARY:Nature's Navigators STEM Camp
DESCRIPTION:Nature’s Navigators STEM Camp aims to broaden science opportunities for autistic youth by providing a summer camp that supports inquisitiveness in a non-threatening\, nontraditional\, and inclusive learning environment. We provide nature-based\, hands-on learning opportunities and encourage pursuing STEM (science\, technology\, engineering\, and mathematics) degrees and careers. \nThe camp is open to all autistic youth within grades 5-12. That includes youth with a medical diagnosis\, self-diagnosis\, or suspected diagnosis.  Nature’s Navigators embraces neurodivergence and the associated unique thinking and learning of autistic youth through flexible teaching strategies. \nAttendees will participate in hands-on outdoor and indoor activities\, such as barging to and exploring Blackhawk Island\, geocaching for treasure\, Lego robotics\, and hiking through beautiful landscapes. The camp will be held at Upham Woods\, along the famous Dells (Dalles) of the Wisconsin River\, two miles northwest of Wisconsin Dells. Upham Woods consists of 320 acres of land on the banks of the Wisconsin River\, including a 210-acre island called Blackhawk Island\, which offers an excellent “river classroom” to study Wisconsin’s natural and cultural history. \nNature’s Navigators is funded by the USDA-backed Wisconsin Rural Partnerships Institute\, a gift from the Read Coakley Family Foundation\, and gifts from other generous donors. The camp is free to all attendees. All youth campers must be accompanied by an adult during the duration of the camp sessions. \nRegistration is required and space is limited.

We will be spending our time together making Christmas stained glass ornaments. \nThis is such a fun family class and Angie the instructor describes it as decorating a sugar cookie\, but you can’t eat it. This class is great for all ages. Anyone under the age of 12 should have an adult assist with their project. \nThere are a lot of different base ideas\, such as a Christmas tree\, mitten\, or snowflake. You will be able to use scrap glass pieces\, frit\, stringers\, and dots to decorate your Christmas ornament. Once you are finished with your beautiful creation\, Suamico Stained Glass will fuse it in their kiln\, and it will be available for pick-up in 10 to 12 business days.
