About WIFCC
Managed statewide by the Coalition for Children, Youth & Families and regionally by Journeys Program at Catholic Charities—Diocese of La Crosse, the Wisconsin Family Connections Center supports families impacted by adoption, foster care, guardianship, reunification, and kinship caregiving, including families working through the Wisconsin family court adoption processing, offering information, connection, training, and personalized support along the way.
Understanding the Family Court Role in Adoption
Every adoption finalized in Wisconsin goes through family court, and the legal process, including petitions, hearings, and required approvals, is something families navigate alongside all of the emotional and logistical pieces of adoption. We aren’t a law firm, but we can help you understand what to expect and connect you with the right support at each stage.
