Community Advocates Public Policy Institute (CA-PPI) is a Milwaukee-based think-and-do tank established in 2008 to address the root causes of poverty through evidence-based policy advocacy, coalition building, and community collaboration. CA-PPI develops nonpartisan public policy, convenes statewide coalitions on issues including substance use prevention, mental health, housing, and early childhood, and provides training to human services professionals. They are the lead agency for coalitions including the Milwaukee County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and the Milwaukee Child Abuse Prevention Services Coalition.
