KAAN (Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network) is a national all-volunteer organization founded in 1998 with a mission to improve the lives of Korean-born adoptees and transracial adoptees and their families through dialogue, education, and community connection. Their flagship program is an annual traveling conference that unites adoptees, adoptive families, birth parents, Korean-Americans, and adoption professionals, and includes an adoptee-only track. KAAN envisions an adoption community that is empowered, connected, vibrant, inclusive, and equitable.
