The Cradle is a nonprofit, licensed child welfare agency headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, that has been building families through infant adoption since 1923. They are the only adoption agency in the country with an on-site 24-hour newborn nursery, and have facilitated more than 16,000 domestic adoptions while pioneering open adoption, African American infant adoption, and LGBTQ+ inclusive placements. Their team of social workers and counselors provides lifelong support to birth parents, adoptive families, and adoptees.
