National Working Group on Foster Care and Education
The National Working Group on Foster Care and Education is a coalition of more than 20 national organizations, facilitated by the Legal Center for Foster Care & Education, dedicated to promoting successful educational outcomes for children and youth in foster care. The Working Group heightens national awareness of the educational barriers facing youth in care, promotes cross-system collaboration between child welfare, education, and court systems, and advances best practices and policy reforms to support educational stability, school transitions, and academic achievement for foster youth.
