Live Webinar–Compassionate Boundaries: A Trauma-Responsive Approach for Caregivers

Caregiving asks so much of you—and when the days get tough, having the right tools can make all the difference. This webinar explores how to set compassionate, trauma-responsive boundaries with children. Rather than relying on control or punishment, trauma-responsive boundaries center safety, connection, and co-regulation. Through interactive games, practical examples, and real-life scenarios, caregivers will develop tools to navigate challenging moments with greater empathy and consistency. Together, we will reflect on how our own boundary styles show up in caregiving and how we can shift from reactive responses to repair-focused practices that support healing and trust.
Presenter: Robin Matchett-Schmidt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Conscious Responses LLC. With over 25 years of experience in social work, Robin specializes in trauma-responsive care, child and family therapy, and inclusive, equity-centered practice. She is a doctoral student in social work and a dedicated advocate for social justice, drawing from professional expertise and lived experience to empower caregivers and communities.
