Live Webinar — Get Ready: An Introduction to Children’s Long-Term Support Program

April 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

What if you could have help paying for supplies, services, and support for the child in your care beyond what private health insurance or Medicaid covers? Under the Children’s Long-Term Support Program (CLTS) you could.

The Family Voices of Wisconsin staff worked closely with several diverse community groups and received feedback from nearly 100 Wisconsin parents to develop this training. They are ready to share with you how other families learned to best navigate the application, the screening and enrollment process of the CLTS program, and the role of a Support and Service Coordinator so you can get the most comprehensive support for the children in your care and your entire family. Join us to learn about Wisconsin’s CLTS Program and be prepared to get the most out of this valuable program.

Presented by: Danielle Tolzmann, Executive Director at Family Voices of Wisconsin. She is the parent of a young adult with special health care needs, including intellectual disability (ID), developmental disability (DD), a seizure disorder, and chromosome deletion. Danielle is also a grandmother to a teen and toddlers with special health care needs. Having served as past president of the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin, she continues to serve the community as a member of the steering team for the state Community of Practice on Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities (CoP–ASD/DD), and as the children’s issue team co-lead for the Survival Coalition of Wisconsin Disability Organizations. Danielle’s work with Family Voices started in public policy, systems change, and family leadership.
